French top court: naming person in article on criminal conviction may stand
The Cour de cassation dismissed the appeal and confirmed that the Court of Appeal had rightly refused to remove, anonymise or de-index an online news article about a criminal conviction, because the right to information and press freedom outweighed the right to privacy.
